The Skills Union Digital Marketing Program has been designed by industry professionals to cover all of the key aspects of modern digital marketing, to enable graduates from our programs to excel in a career in this exciting and highly in-demand field.


You will gain essential hands-on experience in how to build a digital brand, covering everything from analytics tracking, segmentation, targeting, and optimising sites for conversion and ROI, giving you all of the tools you need to launch a successful career in digital marketing.

Cohort Onboarding

In this introduction module, we first spend some time connecting you with the other students in the cohort, outlining the course, setting goals, introducing you to your mentors and coaches, and making sure everyone has everything they need to get started. 

Market Research & Content Mapping

Solid market research is the foundation of all marketing, and the skills taught in this module are an essential part in any digital marketing role. Students will learn the key skills and tools required to be able to complete effective user research projects, and be able apply these in a professional setting, covering affinity diagrams, user behaviour mapping, qualitative and quantitative user research methods, comparative and competitor analysis, target personas, content maps and information architecture.

Analytics & Reporting

Tracking and optimisation lies at the very heart of all of today's marketing best practice, and in this module, we cover how to set up your digital properties with Google Analytics, setting up goals, tags and funnels, and how to create custom reports to measure all of our digital marketing activity.

Search Engine Optimization

SEO is an essential part of every digital marketing strategy, and in this module, students learn how to attract free organic traffic, understanding keyword research methods, on-page and off-page SEO tactics, organic link-building, PR, and how to continue to track and optimise using Google Analytics.  

Content Marketing & Copywriting

This module covers a central part of any digital strategy, which is how we attract and drive traffic through carefully designing and then amplifying our messaging through blogs, podcasts, social media and influencer outreach. 

Paid Search & Social Advertising 

In this module, we cover paid advertising through both search engines and social media channels, including Google, Facebook, Instagram, Linked In and other key channels, learning how to set up and continue to optimise campaigns, how to structure accounts and build out effective paid advertising for a brand.

Inbound, CRM & Automation

The brain behind any marketing campaign is the CRM, where all customer activity is tracked. In this module we cover all of the key aspects of CRM and inbound marketing, learning how to use tools to optimise and automate key marketing processes, including workflows, lead scoring and funnelytics.

Final Project + Skills Lab

The course culminates in a final project where you get to apply all the skills you learned in the course, which is what employers are really looking for.

How long does a course last? And how much time do I have to commit?

Our courses are 6 months part time, and will need 10 - 15 hours per week of your time.
